Mansang, a small picturesque village, is situated at an altitude of 5000 ft on the Kalimpong Hills. It is about 22 km from Kalimpong town. Mansang is the headquarters of Mansang cinchona plantation. There is a beautiful bungalow which offers a magnificent view of the entire range of the Kanchenjunga in the south and of the Tista meandering through the deep gorges towards south can be seen. On clear nights, the lights of Darjeeling town and also that of Gangtok in the north-west offers beautiful views from this place.
Because of its picturesque setting, it has good potential to develop as a new tourist destination. Till now the place is visited by only a few offbeat travelers. The place can also be visited from Siliguri on a day trip, as it is only 85Kms from the city and 22Kms from Kalimpong town. The village can be visited from Siliguri on a day trip.
