Soil Moisture Sensor

Soil moisture sensor is used to monitor the water content in soil. This is a very low cost and easy to use soil moisture sensor it works on the resistive principal.

The output of the sensor is analog and the output voltage increases as the amount of water content in the soil increases.

This analog output can be directly given to a ADC or can also be given to a comparator circuit and accordingly a you can come to know when the soil reading goes below a certain level.

You can connect this sensor directly to your arduino or freeduino board. No need of any added circuitry.

Features:

1. Plug and Play Device.

2. Requires 5v Supply.

3. Output voltage 0 to 5v.

4. Easy to Use.
